ABOUT THE FUN-RAISER SHOW

Recommended for patrons aged 4 and above

Playeum is thrilled to present a special fundraising performance of The Emperor’s New Clothes, Wild Rice’s dazzling musical extravaganza that promises outrageous fun, unforgettable tunes, and a fresh, local twist on Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless tale. Directed by Pam Oei, with a sharp script by Joel Tan and music by Julian Wong, this show is a joyride of style and spectacle.

But beneath all the glitter and giggles lies a deeper truth that speaks to the heart of Playeum’s mission. This story reminds us that sometimes, the clearest vision and the bravest voice come from those least expected. It is a message that resonates deeply with our belief in the voice and agency of every child.

In this celebration of courage, creativity and speaking up, we find a symbol of hope. Hope that when we truly listen to and support our children, change becomes possible.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone

who joined us to PLAY last year!

We share with you photographs of last year's event captured by our wonderful volunteer photographers Jeremy Kwok and Lee Jia Ying, as well as words from some of our biggest advocates who too believe in the power of play to nurture a thriving child.

Support us in helping every child thrives as the best versions of themselves through play and the arts

All cash donations (SGD 10 and above) to Playeum will be eligible for a 250% tax deduction and matched dollar-for-dollar by the NAC Cultural Matching Fund - which means your contribution will have twice the impact!
