Lead Playmaker
(OMOD Programme)

(Part-time, 8-Month Project-based Contract)

This role supports the coordination and delivery of Playeum’s programme, OMOD (Open Mind, Open Doors) for children with special needs and their families. You will be part of a team that works together to ensure quality implementation, in addition to supporting the documentation and impact evaluation of our programmes.

This part-time role sits within the Programmes Team at Playeum and you will be required to be on site on 2 Saturdays a month. 


The contract is scheduled to start from Aug 2026 - Mar 2027.

Programme Facilitation

  • Support the facilitation of Playeum’s programmes including logistical setup, implementation of play experiences, and timely teardown.

  • Support pre-programme briefings as well as post-programme debrief with hosting organisations, part-time playmakers and volunteers. 

  • Attend pre-programme briefings and post-programme debriefs; share concerns from the ground.

  • Uphold Playeum’s child safeguarding practices and guidelines  

  • Communicate staffing needs and concerns to the Programmes Team while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. 
     

Supporting Documentation & Impact Evaluation

 

  • Support project documentation for impact assessment, including observations and surveys.

  • Provide feedback on data collection processes

Programme Coordination

  • Prepare the logistical requirements and procurement of materials needed for assigned programmes. 

  • Coordinate with other team members and volunteers for seamless integration of assigned programmes into the team calendar. 


Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Playmaker qualities we are looking for: Abilities and passion to listen to children’s voices and to co-create with children and families in playful ways.

  • Educational background and/or work experience related to art, play, inclusion, education, and/or child development is preferred.

  • Volunteer or work experience in informal learning, community work or socially engaged arts practice.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills when working with children, adults, and/or families.

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in programme facilitation involving children or families

  • Must be based in Singapore and able to work in person (this is not a remote role).

  • Deployment will be on a project basis and will involve either weekdays and/or weekends, when required.
