Playeum is an independent charity that develops life skills in children through play, creativity and the arts.

We work with all children, including children from marginalised backgrounds and children with disabilities.

The Children's Centre for Creativity may be taking a pause till further notice, but our work in championing voices through play and creativity still continues. Playeum hopes to create an online space that serves as a source of retreat and support for both children and adults.

Why play, creativity and the arts?

Play, creativity and the arts are intrinsically linked. It is more than an activity; children use play and the arts to make sense of their world. It also allows for the development of crucial 21st-century skills - creativity, communication, collaboration, resilience and more.

Discover your child's creative potential at the Children's Centre for Creativity.

Playeum is an independent registered charity that champions children through play, creativity and the arts.

Open to all families and groups for exploration, Playeum runs the Children's Centre for Creativity in Gillman Barracks which presents a hands-on exhibition that changes every year. The Centre is a safe space for ALL children to play freely and express their voices as active citizens of the world, regardless of abilities and socio-economic backgrounds.

Plan Your Visit

On some days, the Centre may experience high capacity with group visits or have planned closures for private community/CSR events as part of our social mission. To better plan your visit, we encourage all visitors to check out our busy times below or give us a call prior.
