At the Children's Centre for Creativity, children are active
citizens of the world.
It is a space where all children have equal access to play,
regardless of abilities and socio-economic backgrounds.
Playeum opened Singapore's first locally grown non-profit Children's Centre for Creativity on 19 September 2015 at Gillman Barracks. Its visions and mission embrace a commitment to the value of play, the arts and creativity in the lives of young children aged 1 to 12.
The Centre presents themed hands-on exhibitions that change once a year and is open to ALL families, schools & student cares, social service organisations and corporates, to visit and explore.
Current Hands-on Exhibition:
I-Opener: Play with the Senses
14 May 2019 to 26 April 2020
I-Opener features the aesthetic and sensory play-worlds inspired by the artistic designs and creations of four artists with a disability, Dr Dawn-joy Leong, Cavan Chang, Sol Pickens and Jo Devadason. Co-curated and produced by Playeum's Creative Directors Imran Mohamad and Dr. Esther Joosa, and Tech Catalyst Din Chan, the exhibition invites children aged 1 to 12 to explore their senses through play and the arts.
